Turning 26...

I had a hard time turning 26 this year, I thought I'd struggle turning 25 but turns out 26 is way harder to swallow! Thankfully I have an amazing husband and family who helped me get over/through it by celebrating all week long...

July 22-Tuesday: Ash, Jake, Taylor, Allison, Russ and I found ourselves on a sweet triple date to Pioneer Days Rodeo in Spanish Fork. Not sure if it has anything to do with the fact that this rodeo normally runs my birthday week or not but I go every year!  I normally choose to go on the final night of the rodeo but seeing as how this year we would be out of town on the 24th, we tested out the Tuesday night competitors. Needless to say, the cowboys could have rode better, but the company was great!

 Wednesday July 23-Happy Birthday to Me! The day was real simple and nothing to extraordinary seeing as how everyone else besides me had to work :) Russ woke me up with a present- and have I mentioned that he is way better at gift giving than me? I was caught off guard as I opened the box to find a jewelry box which inside held a wedding band!

  

I have gone without a band for the last year now mostly because I felt my wedding ring was enough-however, I stopped wearing my ring to work for fear of damage or loss and have since been looking for something to wear instead of an old run down CTR ring :) Well luckily Russ pays attention and knew I'd been wanting something to wear to work so he surprised me with this dainty wedding band! It's perfect for work and I've also loved pearing it with my ring outside of work.

I met up with Russ for lunch and we cashed in my free birthday meal to Tucano's. Afterwards, Russ had to return to work so I took off to spoil myself with a spa pedicure, trip to Target, as well as go get my new ring sized. I eventually returned home and got to packing and finishing laundry to get things ready to leave for camping the next morning. Russ got home from work and joined in to help me get things in order for an early departure. My parents stopped by to visit and give their birthday regards. Russ and I got camping things in order and then ended the night with a trip to Walmart and a gourmet dinner by Wendy's.

Thurs-Sun we took off for a camping trip with family and friends to Ferron/12 mile campground. It was the perfect camping trip full of adventure and fun. Story on that to come in it's own post...

Tuesday the 29th we had our family birthday dinner celebration. Kez and I have birthdays 2 weeks apart so my family met at delicious Cracker Barrall to eat and party in our honor :)

It was the perfect birthday weekend and I'm so grateful for everyone I shared it with! Here's to another year of aging, excited to see what the next year brings.
