Russ's birthday fell on a Wednesday this year so we took the opportunity of celebrating the weekend before. Starting with a dinner at Red Lobster Friday night where the birthday boy ate seafood to his hearts content.
Saturday was his day to choose whatever he wanted to do, and unfortunately the weather turned out to be crappy. But we didn't let that stop us! After lounging around and relaxing for a good few hours we braved the weather in our little red truck and went out for an adventure in the mountains. It was super fun and a great adventure for our little family.
On Wednesday we went to Lunch at Tucano's with some of Russ's friends, and then when Russ got off work I made his favorite dinner (per his request), ate cake and ice cream of course, and opened presents. Overall, it was a pretty great day!
Russ's gift from my parents. Russ and Jake have a running competition between being the favorite son-in-law so my mom feeds into their ego's. |
Thanks for being born love. I can't wait to see what the next 28 years bring us!
