Sister Olsen's Homecoming

Sister Olsen, aka Channy, returned home from her mission in California on March 11. Russ just so happened to leave for his annual goose hunt in South Dakota early that morning so he missed out on all the festivities.
I had to put this picture in for remembrance. Russ was packing getting ready for his trip and I could not stop laughing at his little Elmer Fudd hat. This guy sure makes life more fun.

Channy had a semi-early flight so I was actually awake for the sunrise (normally I'm going to bed after work before the sunrise), and it sure was worth it that morning. I love where we live and the views we get no matter what time of day.
pay no mind to our dead lawn :) also no filter haha
On our way to the airport! These little cuties were nice enough to let me tag along.
The airport crew waiting and waiting...
Best I could get of her coming down the escalators
Long awaited Reunions! We are so excited and happy to have Channy back home.

Channy finding out that we have another nephew on the way! Ash (and fam) managed to keep it a secret from her and showed up at the airport with the big surprise reveal.

WELCOME HOME SISTER OLSEN! We are super proud of you but we won't lie that we are also excited to have you back home.
Had to hit up Swig that night of course.

(meanwhile in South Dakota)
That following Sunday was her homecoming. She gave a great talk in church and then we had tons of people over to my parents afterwards for lunch and visiting. It was fun to see some old friends that hadn't see in a while, and traveled a long ways. The sunday also just so happened to be little Lexi girl's 2nd birthday-so amongst all the Homecoming craziness we had a little birthday celebration for the sassy pants.
I sure love this little girl. She's a highlight in our lives with her little attitudes and she's always making us laugh. Two of my favorite things about her are when you asked her what she dreams about she responds "brittany", and I love to hear her scream my name everytime she sees me and comes running "bitttnnnnyyyy". Happy 2nd Birthday baby girl!
