House Progress

I take pictures everytime we go to our house to track the progress and it's been a long time since I've posted pictures. Just to show how long it's been since I've posted progress.... we do our final walk through in a week! 1 week!!!!!!!!!! looking back now this house has flown by, but in the moment it's taken forever and I just can't wait to move in!

standing in our backyard. we're moving to the "country"!

The kids were obsessed with all the shelves in our master closet. They kept going in and hiding from us

kinda dark. but had to document that they stained our front door finally.

We are building with J.Thomas homes and they've been awesome to deal with and we've only had one "hiccup" so far but it all worked out even better than before the hiccup. We have enjoyed taking everyone on tours every week and tracking the progress but we're even more excited to be able to show it and give tours while having people over for dinner.

So for now we are getting our house in Orem ready to Rent (if you know of anyone looking lemme know) and counting down our last days living there. We are so excited to see what this new town and neighborhood has to offer us. Also looking forward to all the things that will happen while we're living in this house!!

a little bit of March

Mark, Russ's dad, got engaged on March 8.  He proposed up at Daniel's summit lodge Saturday night. His fiancĂ© is Jaris and she is from Wyoming and is the mother of wait for it... 9 boys! They seem like they are great together and very happy. The big day is still TBA but we are so excited for Mark, even though I secretly miss him hanging out with us all the time instead.

Russ went on his annual back east snow geese hunt the second weekend of March. They drive out to South Dakota in one day, hunt for 3 days then drive all the way home on the 5th day. He claims it's not a vacation because it's a lot of work throughout the day on no sleep, and comes home exhausted. But he had a great time and was glad he went. I had the weekend off he was gone and spent time hanging out with family and friends, as well as stalking our new house every single day (we normally have a once a week check rule but while Russ was gone I lost all self control)

pretending it was summer with my favorite little people

My dad got a new calf that weekend so we went down to the farm to meet it

I wasn't the only one who missed Russ while he was away

I thought I would be nice and let Lady and Remi sleep in the garage together Saturday night. To show me how much they
appreciated it they shredded Remi's blanket. I was not impressed.
I never know what I'm going to find when I get home from work in the mornings. Russ somehow always finds a way to use every single pillow off our bed and sleeps with them. I usually find some weird position but this morning I had to take a picture (he doesn't believe me so I had to show him I'm not crazy) since it looked like there was another person in my spot. Not to worry, it was just the pillows :)
Jake has been in Spain for the month and this past weekend Ashlee got the opportunity to go out and be with him. While she was gone we got the opportunity to have Kez come stay with us for a "Vacation". Her stay fell on the weekend I worked so we got to experience what it will be like to have kids with a working mom. Kez is so great and we had a blast, and I must say kudos to Russ because he was fantastic with her!

They sent me this Saturday night while I was working. To put it cheesy... melted my heart!

Not that it wasn't great having a kid in the house, but we won't be announcing anything anytime soon :)

The Birthday Boy

On March 4, 2014 this handsome guy turned 27!!

In honor of him aging here's 27 things I love/admire about him....

some of our celebration pictures from having dinner with Mark (Russ's dad) and Jaris his fiancé

February happenings.

After returning home from our Island Park adventure it was time to get back to the reality. I continued to feel crappy and (as previously mentioned) ended up going to the doctor and got diagnosed with bronchitis and a sinus infection. I had to miss 2 nights of work but it was worth it be able to sleep and rest and the codeine cough syrup wasn't too bad either :)

Valentine's day was that Friday and of course I had to work so we celebrated that weekend.  I was lucky to have 2 pretty awesome valentine's this year!

at work that night sporting my mask from still being sick. We decided to make the best of it and say "we mustache you a question- would you be our valentine?"
We watched the kiddos one Saturday afternoon and I learned a little of what I'm in for when we have our own kids- I leave jax and Russ alone for 2 seconds and next thing I know us girls are under attack from home made slingshots from Russ's antlers.

Russ and his cousin Wade took Crush shed hunting to the Bookcliffs one weekend, and to say he was excited about their finds would be an understatement! to shoot a buck like this is a once in a lifetime buck and they were pumped. Russ found the same deer's shed from last year while Wade found this years (hence the 2 different colors)

while the boys were away I took the adventure of taking these 2 on a walk together

We have loved the sunshine! even if it's just a tease of it here and there I'll take it! one particular sunny day Remi and I ventured up the canyon with Ash and the kiddos. They got to ride their bikes and scooters and eat snacks on the lawn- and I got to chase Remi around. It was a great day and got us even more excited for summer!

Remi continues to get way to big for my liking (obviously). We took the dogs up to Wallsburg one sunday afternoon and Remi got to ride in the front of the truck with us and it definitely was a reminder of her growing size....

she got a little tuckered out trying to keep up with the other two dogs
