Olsen Wedding 2015

May 15, 2015 Taylor and Alison Crosland got married and despite the lingering weather predicting downpours all day-it was the perfect day!
We were on kiddo duty for the sealing so we left late and entertained the kids at home instead of trying to entertain them in the potential rainstorm.
We got lucky as we got to the temple the skies cleared and we were able to let them run around while we waited for the newlyweds to come outside. Russ is seriously the cutest uncle ever!
Mr. & Mrs. Olsen!
Picture time became quite chilly as we waited for our group shots etc... the dark looming clouds were starting to creep their way back towards us so it was a really speedy photoshoot.
Once again, Russ being a cute uncle keeping Jax warm in between shots.
I don't know how I didn't get any pictures from the luncheon.... The luncheon was held at a beautiful building on Snow College Campus and they catered some delicious food. The rain started right as we pulled up to the building so it was extra nice to be able to just walk in and have everything set up and ready to go! Roast, mashed potatoes, veggies, etc... not to forget the cheesecake bar! It was all delicious. There was many speeches given- but I loved Ash's little tribute to our brother. I had done well holding back tears until that moment. Its not secret to our family and those that are close to him that Taylor had a hard high school life. It was a time of many years of watching our brother be in such a lonely sad place that was seriously heartbreaking. All the more reason we were so excited to hear the part of the tribute where after his mission he meets Alison and literally brought some life back to him. The other emotional part of the tribute was of course the absence of our other baby brother who's serving a mission. He'd wrote a letter for Ash to read about how much of an example Taylor has been/is to him. The speeches were seriously my favorite part! (made me wonder where all my speeches/tributes were at our wedding people!)

After the luncheon we all hurried home to have a few minutes to freshen up at home before changing into our wedding party clothes and getting to the Crosland Residence by 6pm for pictures. Luckily the rain was still holding up and we were all dry because Alison had wanted to have their reception in her backyard and was adamant that heavenly father wanted her to be happy and it would not make her happy to rain on her wedding day. It was chilly and breezy but we stayed dry!

Some of the reception decor... also a pre family photos photo op
The menfolk trying out our bridesmaids flower crowns :)
We spent a lot of time by these little fire places throughout the evening.
Our reception treats: Art City Donuts and little sodas.
Isn't this backyard amazing! It was a perfect night!
To stay warm we took to the dance floor. The DJ played jams into the dark hours and we kept ourselves and the kiddos warm by dancing to every song!

Love that man and these cute kiddos!
We snapped a picture with the all the "twinkle lights" while we were waiting for Ally to get change for them to leave. The send off consisted of baby's breath flowers being thrown, cheers, and hugs.
It was the perfect ending to the perfect day! We're so happy that Taylor found Alison and she's the perfect addition to our family.

Congratulations Olsen's!!
