house and more

Being as how lovely bronchitis and sinus infection have come to visit me I figured I would do a lil blogging....

On Saturday February 1st Russ and I spent the day butchering his elk and making jerky (exciting Saturday I know). Since we were leaving town the upcoming Tuesday we got all the meat done and taken care of which ended up taking us till sundown.

We had wanted to drive by our house that day but didn't want to go in the dark thinking there'd be nothing to see. With the house plans out of mind we began getting ready to go out to dinner. Not long after we got a phone call from Spence (our real estate agent) "Hey I'm standing here in your bedroom". WHAT?! After hearing something like that  we got in the truck and drove straight to our house. And there was actually a house waiting for us when we got there!

 

The house was framed and all but a section of the garage had a roof on it! It's been fun to drive by and see the lot but not to drive by and actually see a house was awesome! We were so excited about it we went back the next day in the daylight...

By far Russ's favorite part about our new house = the garage!

The best part is that the house is even further than this now! We went by when we got back in town Sunday night and the furnace and venting is in, bath tubs, basement windows, garage has concrete, and the roof has shingles! Granted it was dark so I didn't get updated pictures.

We had a fun Superbowl Sunday-granted the game sucked and our team lost but we have great friends which made the day awesome! Chelsea & Kellen, Spence and Angie, and Brook and Jon came over and spent that day with us. luckily we all have great tastes in food and so I may have ate my body weight and obviously that ended up being the only thing I cared about because that's the only picture I got :)
